What is Wing People?

Wing People is a human-first connection company helping people form better, more meaningful connections in real life.We exist because networking is often awkward, exhausting, and ineffective. Wing People creates intentional, human-centred ways for people to meet with context, care, and purpose.

02

Why does Wing People exist?

Because humans are wired for connection, but modern networking often ignores that. Most events rely on luck, confidence, or forcing small talk. Wing People is built on psychology, social dynamics, and emotional intelligence, helping people connect in ways that feel safe, natural, and genuinely useful.

Who is Wing People for?

Wing People is for people and organisations who care about how humans connect, including:

+event organisers
+ sponsors and exhibitors
+ attendees and solo founders
+ introverts, first-timers, and “this feels awkward” humans
+ companies, communities, and spaces

If people gather, Wing People can help.

03

Who is Wing People for?

Wing People is for humans and organisations who care about connection, not just attendance, leads, or optics. It’s designed for:

+ Event organisers who want networking to actually work and leave people feeling connected, not depleted
+ Sponsors and exhibitors who want meaningful conversations, not badge scans and hope
+ Attendees, solo founders, and first-timers who want help navigating rooms, conversations, and energy
+ Introverts and thoughtful humans who dislike traditional networking but value real relationships
+ Founders, leaders, and teams who want embedded, fractional support through a Wing Person in Residence
+ Companies, communities, and spaces that want to build stronger human connection over time

Whether it’s a one-off event, a series of activations, or an ongoing residency, Wing People supports people where connection actually happens, in real time and real life.

04

What does a Wing Person actually do?

A Wing Person listens, observes, and connects. We read the room, notice alignment, and make thoughtful introductions at the right moment. We help conversations start, deepen, or end gracefully. Think guide, translator, and social safety net rolled into one.

05

Is Wing People matchmaking?

Not in the dating-app sense. We focus on professional, creative, and community connections like partnerships, collaborations, referrals, friendships, and ideas. That said, we do create spaces where dating can happen naturally, including dating events where human connection comes first.

06

So… do you do dating or not?

We don’t match people romantically one-to-one.But we do design environments where dating, chemistry, and attraction can happen without pressure, scripts, or swiping. We believe dating works better when people feel relaxed, seen, and human.

07

How is Wing People different from networking apps or AI tools?

Apps match profiles. Wing People support people. We work in real time, in real spaces, reading body language, energy, and social dynamics. Technology can suggest matches, but it can’t notice who feels left out, overwhelmed, or one conversation away from something meaningful.

08

What services does Wing People offer?

Wing People offers:
+ embedded Wing People at events
+ Connection Corners and curated networking activations
+ Wing Person training for teams and communities
+ workshops and keynotes on networking, referrals, and human connection
+ Wing for people (individual support)
+ Wing People in residence

Each service is designed to improve connection outcomes, not just attendance numbers.

09

Can Wing People be added as an upsell or add-on to my event?

Yes. Wing People works beautifully as a premium add-on for events, sponsors, hosted buyer programmes, and VIP experiences. It adds real value without adding friction.

10

What is a Wing Person in residence?

Yes. Think of a Wing Person in Residence as a fractional, embedded partner, shaped around what you actually need. Depending on the Wing Person and the residency, this might look like a fractional CMO, fractional communications lead, fractional event strategist, or fractional growth partner, without the rigid job title.

Each Wing Person on the Wing Squad brings their own skills, experience, and lens. We match the Wing Person to the human and the challenge, not the other way around.

For example, our CEO, Shaena, often supports residencies with:
PR and visibility
marketing and go-to-market thinking
creative strategy and events
connections and introductions
systems, structure, and Notion setup (she's a Notion nerd)

Other Wing People bring different strengths, whether that’s leadership support, operations, strategy, or growth.

What stays consistent is the role:
an embedded partner who sees the whole picture and supports momentum where it matters most.

Wing Person in Residence is a retainer-based service. It can be booked as a standalone engagement or used in between event activations to maintain momentum, support follow-up, and keep connections moving forward.

11

How many Wing People do we need for an event?

It depends on the event. We scope support based on size, format, goals, and desired outcomes. No guessing. No unnecessary bodies. Just the right level of human connection.

12

How much does Wing People cost?

Pricing depends on scope, format, and ambition.Workshops, activations, and event support sit within clear pricing tiers, and custom projects are scoped collaboratively. Transparent pricing. No surprises.

13

Can Wing People help introverts?

Yes. Wing People works beautifully as a premium add-on for events, sponsors, hosted buyer programmes, and VIP experiences. It adds real value without adding friction.
